BYOBTC is a directory of businesses that accept Bitcoin. We list businesses; we don't sell their products, process payments, or hold funds.
Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Every submission is reviewed, and we may edit, decline, or remove any listing at our discretion.
Exchanges, brokers, and investment services are not permitted. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Reviews must describe your own real experience with the business. Only post photos you took yourself or have the right to share, and nothing showing other people without their permission. By posting you allow BYOBTC to show your review and photos on the site. We may decline, hide or remove any review or photo at our discretion, and business owners may reply publicly to reviews.
Keep your login details private. You're responsible for activity under your account.
Transactions are between you and the business. BYOBTC isn't liable for goods, services, or payments arranged through a listing.

BYOBTC (byobtc.com) is a directory of businesses that accept Bitcoin. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Your account: your email address, your name if you give one, and your password. Your email is stored encrypted, and your password only as a salted hash — never in plain text. We also save your language and sign-in security settings.
Your listing: the business details you enter — name, website, category, description and location. These are shown publicly. When you save a listing, our server visits its website to check that it's a real business that fits our rules.
Reviews: the public name you choose, your star rating, your text and any photos. These are shown publicly with the review; your email address never is. Photos are re-saved when uploaded, which removes hidden details such as the GPS location where they were taken. Deleting a review deletes its photos.
Payments: each invoice records your billing name and email, what you bought and the amount. You pay through BitPay; we keep the payment amounts and transaction IDs it reports. We never see or hold your wallet or its keys.
Messages: the support requests you send from My account, and contact-form messages. A contact-form message reaches us by email together with your IP address, which helps us block spam.
Public map data: many listings are imported from OpenStreetMap, a public map. If one is about your business, contact us to correct or remove it.
To run your account and publish your listing; to check new listings and reviews; to send the emails you need (sign-in codes, invoices, receipts and support replies); and to keep accounts safe — for example, an account is locked for 30 minutes after three wrong passwords. Our staff can open your account to help you, and anything they do in it is logged. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Only the services that run the site: our web host, our email provider (which delivers our emails) and BitPay (which processes payments and receives your invoice details and email so it can send you payment notices). Bitcoin price and block data are fetched by our server, so your browser never contacts those providers.
We use one essential cookie, set only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It is encrypted and expires after 15 minutes without activity; the site also signs you out after 11 idle minutes, with a warning first. We don't use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal. Your browser's local storage remembers your cookie choice, language and preferred currency — that stays on your device.
To show businesses how their listing is doing, we count listing page views and clicks as daily totals per listing — without cookies, and without storing anything that identifies you. We also keep daily site totals: how many visitors and page views we had, and which website referred them (the site's name only, never the full address). To count each visitor once a day, our server briefly holds a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser type, mixed with a secret that changes daily; it is kept in memory only, never saved, and can't be traced back to you.
In My account you can edit your listing, change your language and turn sign-in codes on or off, and you can edit or delete your reviews at any time. To delete your account or listing, or to get a copy of your data, contact us and we'll take care of it.
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.

The last 30 days. What these mean
You haven’t reviewed anywhere yet. Find a business that accepts Bitcoin, open its page and choose Write a review.
The site switches to this language whenever you sign in, on any device.
Stand out from standard listings. Pay with Bitcoin (on-chain or Lightning) — we email you an invoice and a receipt, and your upgrade goes live as soon as the payment confirms.
Questions about billing, your listing or anything else? Send us a message — we reply here and let you know by email.
Read the directory from your own website or app — search listings, look one up, or pull your own performance numbers. How to use the API
Everything about your listing, plans, payments and your account. Can’t find the answer? Send us a message.
Your first listing is free. Every new listing — and every edit — is reviewed by our team before it goes live. While an edit is in review your listing is hidden from the directory, so check your changes before you save. If we need changes we’ll mark it Needs changes.
We list businesses that accept Bitcoin, and businesses that serve Bitcoiners (wallets, mining, merchant tools, education). Exchanges, brokers and investment services can’t be listed.
Your listing gets its own page that search engines can find, linked from its category, its country and city pages (and, in the US, its state page).
Every listing has a short link, like byobtc.com/b/62173281ho. Yours is under Share link in
My account once your listing is live, and anyone can copy it with the chain-link icon next to the business
name on its page. The link never changes, even if you edit your listing, so it’s safe to print on a flyer, a
receipt or a sticker by the till, or to post on social media.
Linking to your listing from your own website helps too: links from real business sites are part of what lifts directory pages in search results.
Anyone with a free account can review a business they’ve been to: 1–5 stars (required), a few words about it, and up to 4 photos. One review per business per person — editing it replaces the old one. You can’t review your own listing. Reviews show the public name you choose under My reviews, never your email.
A person’s first review is checked by our team before it appears; after that their reviews go live straight away. We take down reviews that are fake, abusive, off-topic or about something other than the business, and anyone signed in can Report one for us to look at.
Photos are shrunk before they’re uploaded, and we remove the hidden details cameras add (like the GPS location where it was taken). Photos straight from your phone are fine; very small images (under 100 pixels) are turned away. Only share photos you took yourself. Photos show only while the review is published, and are deleted with it.
Own the business? Open your listing’s reviews (My account → Reviews) to post a public reply under each one (the Reply as the owner button). You can’t remove a review yourself — if one breaks the rules, send us a message with a link to it.
A free listing gets you found. A paid plan gets you found first, with a bigger, stand-out ad:
Choose a plan in My account and we email you an invoice. You pay through our processor, BitPay, with Bitcoin (on-chain or Lightning) or another coin they support. Any discount for paying in Bitcoin is shown with the plan and on the invoice.
Your plan starts as soon as the payment confirms, and we email a receipt. Crypto can’t be pulled from your wallet, so nothing renews automatically: before your plan runs out we email a renewal invoice, and paying it keeps your plan going. All your invoices and receipts are under Billing in your account.
Payments are final — we don’t issue refunds. If an invoice is cancelled after you’ve paid, the amount becomes account credit and is used automatically on your next invoice.
Shown in search — how many times your listing appeared on a search results page. Search clicks — how many times someone clicked it there. Page views — visits to your listing page from anywhere (search, category and city pages, search engines, links). Website clicks — clicks on your website link from your listing page (some browsers, like Firefox, don’t report these, so the real number can be higher).
We count each visitor once per half hour and leave out search-engine robots. We don’t use cookies or track people for this — just totals per day.
Create a key under Developer API in your account, then send it in an X-Api-Key header. Keep it
secret: use it from your server, not in public web pages. You can have up to 3 keys and revoke one any time.
Each key can make 60 requests a minute. The API is read-only.
